Hi All
I am a Chartered accountant from Mumbai passed out in 2000.
My first investment was HDFC bank IPO, of which I got 400 shares at Rs. 10 and sold for Rs. 40. The regret still remains as the number of shares now would be 4000 and valued at nearly Rs. 56 lakhs plus the dividend in addition.
Also, I missed investing in SIP mode from 2000 to date and have made many investments and trades in haste.
Looking back, I realize that if I had invested even 20% of my monthly salary in good A group shares and kept them to date, the matter would have been different
As a family, my parents were always scared of the market as they never made money and I was forced to put money in FD’s and even now the doubt remains
But I would say that now we are lucky to have lots of information through either this website/value research online / WhatsApp / etc for us to make informed decisions
I believe with the inline brokers coming into play, the matter is now even more simple
Just remember we need to be long-term and of course, analyze our portfolio every quarter.
We should make investments in every sector and the best company in that.
I have analyzed all the sectors and made virtual portfolios in the same
If people are keen we can discuss the same in this forum, which I have joined only on 15th May 2021
