Quadrant Rail, a leading player in the railway sector, specializes in electrical equipment for trains, including propulsion systems, connectors, switchgear, and cable assemblies. The company is also expanding into train interiors. The company is 1 of the 5 approved vendors to develop Kavach system for Indian railways.
Kavach is a cutting-edge train collision avoidance system developed by Quadrant Futuretek, designed to enhance railway safety by preventing accidents through real-time tracking and automatic braking. With its advanced technology and high safety standards, Kavach is set to revolutionize Indian Railways and global rail networks.

Quadrant decided to manufacture cables in-house to cut costs and reduce reliance on suppliers. The company has introduced high-performance cables for Indian Railways, focusing on heat resistance and weight reduction.
3/ Electron Beam Irradiation Technology
The company uses Electron Beam Irradiation to enhance cable durability, enabling them to withstand temperatures up to 200°C, far exceeding traditional PVC cables. This technology is now the global standard for electric vehicles (EVs). E-beam cables is a good portion of their business currently.

Quadrant has received approval from the Ministry of Defense to supply cables for naval ships, offering reduced weight and cost benefits. They’ve also earned the DGQA certification for large-scale defense supplies.

Quadrant’s expansion into Electric Vehicles (EVs), solar cables, and high-rise building applications highlights its adaptability. The company’s electron-beam cables are in demand globally, with major players like Adani & Tata onboard.
8/ Railway Signaling Systems Expansion

9/ Kavach: Train Collision Avoidance System

Quadrant secured a ₹978 Cr contract for the Kavach system, which it plans to fit 1200 locomotives in FY26. The execution timeline for these orders is by Q3FY26.
